उत्तर :

1. सबसे पहले सुनील बकरी को अपने साथ नदी की उस तरफ ले जाएगा, क्योंकि इधर शेर घास खाएगा नहीं.
2. अब वापस आकर इस बार शेर को अपने साथ नदी के उस पार ले जाएगा, पर लौटते वक्त बकरी को अपने साथ वापस ले आएगा ताकि शेर बकरी को न खा सके.
3. अब सुनील फिर बकरी को यहीं छोड़ अपने साथ घास को अपने साथ नदी के उस तरफ ले जाएगा और वहीं छोड़ देगा, क्योंकि शेर घास नहीं खाएगा.
4. अब नदी के उस पार सिर्फ बकरी बचेगी, सुनील फिर से उधर जाकर इस बार बकरी को अपने साथ ले आएगा.

इससे सभी चीजे भी नदी के दूसरी तरफ या गई और सभी सही सलामत भी बच गई.
