(1) सात चोर, (seven thieves)
सात चोरों ने मिलकर हीरे चुराए . वो हीरों को लेकर जंगल में भाग गए, रात वोही काटने लगे . दो चोरो ने सोचा की जब सब सो रहे हैं तो वो सारा हीरा आपस में बराबर बाँट कर भाग जाए . लेकिन उन्होंने देखा की बराबर बांटने पर एक हीरा ज्यादा बच जा रहा हैं . उन्होंने तीसरे चोर को जगाया सोचा की तीन में बराबर बाँटले लेकिन उन्होंने देखा की बराबर बांटने पर फिर से एक हीरा बच गया , उन्होंने चौथे चोर को उठाया फिर पांचवे छठे .. हर बार एक हीरा बच जाता . जब उन्होंने सातवे चोर को जगाया तब जाके सबमे बराबर बराबर बंट पाया .उन्होंने कितने हीरे चुराये थे |
Seven thieves stole the diamonds together. They ran into the forest with the diamonds, they started cutting at night. Two thieves thought that when everyone is sleeping, then divide all those diamonds equally among themselves and run away. But he saw that a diamond is being saved more by dividing it equally. He woke up the third thief, thought that he divided it equally in three but he saw that once again a diamond was saved after dividing it equally, he picked up the fourth thief then the fifth sixth.. Every time a diamond would have survived. When he woke up the seventh thief, he went and found it equally distributed among all.
How many diamonds did he steal?

यदि सबके दूरियों को जोड़ें तो 21 यार्ड्स आता है, परन्तु सवाल फुट का है, यार्ड का नहीं. एक यार्ड तीन फुट के बराबर होता है.
The correct answer is 63.
If we add all the distances, then 21 yards comes, but the question is of feet, not of yards. One yard is equal to three feet.
